In the latest issue of The HF Magazine, actress Gabourey Sidibe poses for a few personality-filled photos. The 28-year-old Tower Heist actress dished on how music and children are her inspiration, her upcoming films and movie roles and jokingly shared what her profession would be if she weren’t an actress.
HF: If you could be anything but an actor, what would you choose to be?
GS: Professional video game tester. That’s of course in the case that Professional-chocolate-taster is unavailable.
HF: Aside from acting, what is your preferred method of artistic expression, if anything?
GS: I love to sing! I love music. I sing all the time without even realizing it. I also love to write. When most teenagers in my high school were getting high (and pregnant), my best friend Crystal and I would write stories for each other. It’s always been a great interest of mine. Entertainment site GlobalGrind hosted a black carpet event called Tower Heist: Talk with Brett Ratner, the director of the upcoming movie. The star studded event was held at the Dream Hotel in Manhattan (New York City) on Tuesday evening (October 25).
Celebrities like Rocsi Diaz, Nas, LaLa and Teyana Taylor stopped through to show support. One of the cast members, actress Gabourey Sidibe also made a guest appearance. Check out the gallery below to see who else showed up!

Universal Pictures has released the official trailer for the action-dramedy, Tower Heist. The film follows a group of hard-working maintenance workers who decide to rob a Bernie Madoff-like character after falling victim to his wealthy business scheme of wiping out their pension funds. It just so happens that the schemer is under house arrest in the same high-rise building where they work.
The cast includes Ben Stiler, Eddie Murphy, Casey Affleck, Matthew Broderick, Alan Alda and Gabourey Sidibe. Check out the trailer above. It looks like Eddie Murphy is playing a similar role to that of his previous roles in films like 48 Hours, Trading Places and Beverly Hills Cop.
Tower Heist is hits movie theaters on November 4, 2011.
