International icon Janet Jackson dropped by the Anderson show and talked one-on-one with Anderson Cooper. The singer shared interesting life stories including those in her book, True You: A Guide to Finding and Loving Yourself, how she remembered Whitney Houston and the first time she saw people doing drugs at Studio 54:
I use to go to 54 a lot…Yeah, when I would be on hiatus from ‘Good Times.’ My mother said, “What do you want to do?” and I would, “I want to go to New York and visit Mike.” She’d would come out; mother and I and we would go to [Studio] 54. I was 10 or 11 years old at 54 dancing. You know it was the first time I had ever seen drugs. I couldn’t figure out why people were putting flour up their noises. I thought that was the stupidest thing! [laughs]
The Nutrisystem spokesperson talked about her new diet and personal wellness. She also touched on why she ran off and privately married her first and former husband, James DeBarge and how her father never wanted to be called ‘Dad’. Check out the video clips down below. Continue
With the Superbowl XLVI less than two weeks away, there is much anticipation for this year’s half-time show. So far LMFAO has been added to the half-hour concert and Kelly Clarkson will be opening up the game with a performance of the national anthem.
Madonna has also been selected as a major act for the championship game. In a recent interview with NY 1, the pop singer was asked about her plans for the show, whether she has any riskay or accidental surprises. In her response, the “Vogue” singer basically threw shade at Janet Jackson and her 2005 wardrobe malfunction:
“I have not mainstreamed and I’m not planning anything naughty. I’m planning something super entertaining. Yep, yep! You don’t have to show nipples to be interesting or/and it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re cutting edge if you do, right?”
Oh, Madonna you’re tryin’ it. Peep her comment in the clip below, at the 1:18 mark. Speaking of the Superbowl, word on the street is that Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. may join Madonna during her half-time show performance.
