Jill Scott takes us to the court in her latest music video for her track, “Shame” (featuring Eve & The A Group) off of her upcoming studio album Light of The Sun. The Devin Hampton-directed video was filmed in the Cecil B. Moore Recreaton Center, a place where Scott spent many of her summers while growing up. Philadelphia-natives Black Thought of The Roots and Meek Millz make a little appearance in the video, too.
So, Jill Scott and her label must not have liked the response that they got from her latest single, “Shame,” because even though they’ve already shot a video for the Eve-featured track, Jill has decided to switch her first official single to the Anthony Hamilton-assisted track, “So In Love.” The new track will lead off her forthcoming new album, Light of the Sun. The new album is slated to hit stores some time this summer.
Check out the new single from Jill Scott, entitled “Shame.” The track features Philly native, Eve and is the lead single from Jill Scott’s upcoming studio album, The Light of the Sun. In addition to having already shot a video for the track, Jill has also inked a distribution deal with Warner Brother Records, with hopes of the album dropping this summer.
The Black Girls Rock Award Show aired last night (November 7) on BET. Among those to perform were Keri Hilson, Keyshia Cole, Monica and more. In tribute to black women, Kelly Price, Marsha Ambrosius, Jill Scott & Ledisi performed a cover of Nina Simone’s 1966 song, “Four Women”. Check out the video above. You can see more performances after the jump.
