After serving 3 years in prison for hitting a cocktail waitress over the head with a rum bottle, rapper Shawntae “Da Brat” Harris is finally free. The 36 year-old Joliet, IL-native was welcomed back by her friend, producer Jermaine Dupri in a tweet yesterday. Although she has completed her sentence, the So So Def rapper was temporarily released from prison back in May 2010 and worked as a full-time window maker.

Rumor has it, the rapper is currently ‘on house arrest and is required to notify her parole officer whenever she has to leave her home for doctor’s appointments or emergencies.’ …Either way, welcome back to the Brat-Tat-Tat!

Steve Harvey Sends Ex-Wife A Valentine’s Day Candygram?

Word on the street is that funny man Steve Harvey sent his ex-wife Mary Harvey (Shackelford) a Valentine’s Day gift. The 54-year old television and radio host supposedly showered Mary with a cute bouquet of flowers and a large box of chocolates three days after Valentine’s Day…only there weren’t just chocolates inside in the red box:

‘ROUND THE WAY: MARY HARVEY SETS US STRAIGHT ONE LAST TIME – WHO DO YOU BELIEVE?

Mary Harvey is at it again. The former wife of Steve Harvey stopped by 102.3 FM last week and did one last interview in response to her former husband, Steve Harvey. Since Mary’s last interview, Steve has since then visited ABC’s The View and has made a national attempt to clear up his name, thus dragging Mary’s name in the dirt. Well Mary Shackelford refuses to keep quiet…yet again. In an exclusive interview with the DC radio station, Mary set the record straight and continues to claim that she is telling the truth. We could’ve sworn there was some kind of gag order preventing her from speaking on the matter again…Either way, she decided to break it down and make her truth clear one last time:

On the $40,000 monthly payments:
He was ordered to pay me $40,000 but I only got it 10 months. So we’re talking about $400,000 that he paid out to me for a 10-month period. So I only got 10 months of those payments. So what we’re back to again is Mary never got a settlement. Like I said, when you look at a document and someone signed off on that document, that’s one thing. A lot of people of been awarded a lot of things but whether they got those things is another issue.

On the three homes she supposedly received:
The first home was a $200,000 home that Steve and I purchased for our housekeeping staff….Eventually, Steve asked them to go to Atlanta with him which left that house sitting there. The personal assistant she is in that house right now. When I hired her she told me she was homeless. The second house he is talking about is a house that he and I bought, that he and I and the boys shared. That house I put on the market because after the divorce I did not want to live in that house. The third home is that we are really talking about was our $5 million mansion. That was the home we were all living in when the divorce happened. Now, when I let the personal assistant have and I mean have that house, and I sold the second house, thinking I would have my mansion to stay in but he waited right until those two homes were gone and I did get awarded that home my separate sole property, it wasn’t two weeks later he and his attorney went back into the courtroom and to say I was causing him a financial hardship. He was ordered to pay that mortgage until the house was paid off or if I sell the house that would be income for me which I really counted on. So when he went back to the court and they actually made me put my house on the market I had to get out of it just so he could satisfy the mortgage. I didn’t get any proceeds from that house. So I said all of that to say anything can be put into a document to say this is what she got but did she get it?

‘ROUND THE WAY: COURT DOCUMENTS SURFACE, PAINTS MARY HARVEY AS LIAR

According to TMZ.com, court documents have surfaced in regards to the Steve Harvey and Mary Shackelford divorce/infidelity ordeal. Yesterday, a Texas court issued a temporary gag order and injunction, barring Mary from speaking about Steve in the media, including other digital media sites like Facebook, MySpace and Twitter.

Based on the documents Harvey provided to refute Shakelford’s claim, the court found Mary as not truthful in her published Youtube videos about Harvey turning their son against her, leaving her homeless and penniless:

The Court finds Movant BRODERICK S. HARVEY’S relief is granted. Further, the Court finds that:

1. Respondent MARY LEE HARVEY was not homeless or evicted from her home and was awarded three (3) homes in the property settlement;

2. Movant, BRODERICK S. HARVEY did not take, withhold or turn the child against Responded, MARY LEE HARVEY.

3. Respondent, MARY LEE HARVEY willingly placed the child on an airplane and sent him to MR. HARVEY without knowledge;… [ Read more ]

The document goes on and mentions that Shackelford aka Mary Lee Harvey received $40,000.00 per month, every month since 2005 and up until March 2009, when she supposedly received $1.5 million!

Say what?!

The contempt court hearing is scheduled for March 10, 2011.

‘ROUND THE WAY: STEVE HARVEY’S EX-WIFE RELEASES EXPLOSIVE VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE

Mary Harvey, the second former wife of New York Times’ Best Seller author, Steve Harvey, has dished out a series of videos, as a means of finding closure to her divorce from the Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man author/comedian, Steve Harvey. In the videos, Mary talked about how she and Steve met as well as details about how she found out about his affair with his current wife, Marjorie:

“There was a package that had come to the apartment. It was really supposed to go to our office, but somehow it made it’s way to the building and the man gave it to me. The instant that I saw it, it had confidential scrawled all across the top of that envelope and I don’t know, something just fell apart inside of me. So I stopped my hair dresser, took a break, I opened the package and I started to read this letter that was from this woman and she really started to go into detail about how long she had actually been in a relationship w/ my husband…When I first started to become aware that there were other people involved in my marriage, it was really hurtful to me because my marriage represented so much to me. It was my life. My children, my marriage, the fact that Steve and I literally came from nothing…I had worked hard. I had given it my all up to that point, to help make him successful.”

Later in the second video, Mary described the first time she confronted Marjorie, his current wife and how Steve left Mary with nothing. Literally. Mary also mentions how the responsorial book to Steve Harvey’s relationship books, Why Do I Have To Think Like A Man: How To Think Like A Lady And Still Get The Man by Shanae Hall and Rhonda Frost (purchase here), has helped her get through her situation and change her perspective on relationships.
