The Queen of Hip-hop Soul Mary J. Blige is next up on the cover of ESSENCE magazine’s latest issue. In the June 2012 edition (which hits newstands on May 11th), the singer/actress gives advice about the importance of loving yourself before anyone else can and shared her personal experience with this tip:
“I was never really able to look at myself in the mirror until I began to hear God telling me I was beautiful. Suddenly, other people started telling me I was beautiful, too, because I had started believing it…” [SOURCE]

A bit has happened since we last saw Keyshia Cole on her reality show, ‘Keisha Cole: The Way It Is.’ She has gotten married, had a son and dropped two studio albums. Now the singer-songwriter is getting back into reality TV with her new BET series, ‘Keisha Cole: Family First’:
BET has confirmed that Keyshia Cole’s newest reality show, ‘Family First,’ has gone into production and will begin airing this fall. The six-part series will follow the lives of Cole, her husband Daniel Gibson and their son, D.J. [...] The show will reveal the performer at her most “vulnerable” and the cameras will capture her being a mother, daughter, sister, musician, wife and businesswoman. [SOURCE]
The series will also feature footage from her wedding and honeymoon. No word on whether her sister (Neffe) and mother (Frankie) will be making an appearance… Continue
President Barack Obama poked fun at himself, Republican opponents, the Secret Service and more during the 98th annual White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner held on Sat., April 28, at the Washington Hilton.
He noted that he and presumed Republican nominee Mitt Romney both have degrees from Harvard, but Mr. Romney has two. The President joked, “What a snob.” He also revealed the “secret agenda” expected from his second term in office: “In my first term, I sang Al Green. In my second term, I’m going with Young Jeezy,” adding “Michelle said, ‘Yeeeeah.’ I sing that to her sometimes.” View full speeches and photos of celebrities in attendance below.
