Singer/songwriter Mateo, soul singer Goapele and rapper Ab Liva team up on “Don’t Shoot Me Down”, which is the 2nd single off of his upcoming Love & Stadiums mixtape.
Love & Stadiums is Mateo’s collaborative with Grammy Award winning producer Kerry “Krucial” Brothers and will be available on March 30th.
Check out the track “Power” from singer/songwriter Mateo. This is his take on Kanye’s popular song “Power” and is the first leak from his upcoming collaboration with Grammy Award winning producer Kerry “Krucial” Brothers (best known for his work with Alicia Keys).
Some of you may remember Mateo from our Artist Spotlight back in ’09 (VIEW IT HERE) and maybe even his version of Jay-Z’s and Alicia Keys’ “Empire State of Mind” (LISTEN HERE) that gained him somewhat of a following in 2010.

Some of you may remember the Artist Spotlight we did on upcoming singer/songwriter/musician Mateo a couple months ago. Well here is the official video for his song, “Get To Know Me” off of his recently released live EP “Get To Know Me: Live at Swing House.”
His performance was done in one take along with an 8 piece backing band and shot by director Josh Caldwell. The video also gives you a real perspective of life on tour for an artist on the rise. It features documentary style footage of Mateo on the 40-city national college tour that he’s on right now.
Meet Mateo. The Los Angeles based alternative R&B singer/songwriter/musician is really making waves in the music industry. After being noticed by Myspace A&R Consultant & former MTV VJ Quddus he was quickly signed to Myspace Records where he is now promoting his latest mixtape, Underneath The Sky.
Mateo describes his music as, “everything is merging together; a mixture rather than one flavor only; R&B/Pop/Alternative/Soul—Urban Mod—if you want to pick a new genre” and lists Lauryn Hill, Radiohead, Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, Kanye West and Coldplay as some of his influences.
