In an exclusive interview with Jet, The Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin revealed that the health “problem has been resolved” following reports that she was suffering from pancreatic cancer last month and a severe fall in August.
Franklin, a very private person, would not disclose details of the problem. “I am not going to even deal with that. I don’t have to talk about my health with anybody other than my doctors,” she states.
“I am not one to do a lot of talking about my personal health or business. Not too much, not too much. There are a lot of people who will talk about anything, as long as there is somebody listening. But I am not one of those people. That’s not Aretha.”
She does, however, encourage everyone to remain vigilant when it comes to their health.
“If there is anything happening with you that is uncommon and something that you know should not be happening, go to your doctor. Be determined to find out what is going on.”
In the interview, she also mentioned that a CAT-scan “unfolded everything, what the problem was and everything.” She added, “I know my fans are concerned. Let them know I am feeling great and coming along.”

More info just came out this week about the ongoing Nas and Kelis divorce proceedings. According to TMZ sources:
Kelis filed for divorce April 30. She’s weeks from giving birth and unable to work, but no matter to Nas — he’s asking the judge to deny her the spousal support she’s seeking. For bad measure, he also wants her to pay her own lawyer’s fees.
Nas and Kelis both want joint custody of their unborn child.
Kelis cites “irreconcilable differences” for the divorce and word is she believes he was cheating on her. But other rumors indicate that Kelis’ rumored sex tape was the beginning of the end for the couple.
Former NFL star Michael Vick was released from a federal penitentiary in Kansas Wednesday after serving 18 months for his role in a dogfighting operation.
According to authorities Vick, a former NFL star athlete, will serve the rest of his sentence at his home in Virginia (2 months). NFL sources say they will only reinstate the star athlete if he displays truthful remorse.
“Michael is going to have to demonstrate to myself and the general public and to a lot of people, did he learn anything from this experience? Does he regret what happened?” NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said prior to Vick’s release.
