Gospel duo, Mary Mary are making their way to reality TV! The singing sisters have officially partnered up with WEtv and will be giving us all a glimpse of how they strive for balance between their hectic careers and growing families. Below is a little synopsis of their reality series:
Music is a family business for the Campbell sisters: Erica’s husband, Warryn, is the group’s producer and Tina’s husband, Teddy, is the drummer in Jay Leno’s band. Outside of the recording studio, both ladies struggle to balance family life — a challenge all on its own. Erica and Warryn are expecting their third child in February, and Tina and Teddy are raising a blended family of four. The sisters also have a very large, extended family of seven siblings to deal with — one of which is the group’s stylist — and their parents, who have been married and divorced three times to each other, and now currently separated. When it comes to finding harmony, singing’s the easy part!
Their new 8-episode original series is tentatively titled MARY MARY and is set to premiere on Thursday, March 29th at 9pm ET/PT. Definitely look forward to the trailer. Will you be watching?
OPRAH WINFREY COMES BACK TO PRIMETIME TV
Of course, this news isn’t too much of a surprise. Oprah Winfrey is coming back to primetime television only this time, it’s for a New Year’s Day special.
The OWN network announced Winfrey’s primetime series which will be called Oprah’s Next Chapter. The two-hour episode will feature a one-on-one interview with Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler. In the two-hour premiere, Winfrey and Tyler talk about everything from his drug addiction past to his to his gig with American Idol.
“After 25 years I got myself out of the studio chairs. I moved into the next chapter, and I am having more fun than ever — moving around the country and the world talking to people I’m really interested in getting to know and I think viewers will be, too,” said Winfrey. “It is so energizing to be out and about in the world exploring new people, new places and new ideas.” [Source]
