So, it turns out that Jay-Z is indeed going to be on Oprah’s show later this month, not just in her magazine as we reported to you last month. The same interview (which was videotaped), will be aired on an episode of “The Oprah Winfrey Show” on Sept. 24th.
Jay-Z told an NYC radio station about their recent get together in the Brooklyn neighborhood that he grew up in.
“I brought her around there really for the neighborhood. ‘Cause a lot of times, when you see people or you hear about Oprah Winfrey, she seems almost untouchable. When I saw her, it was shocking to me. So I know how that feels, to see someone on TV and hear their name and know they’re so hugely successful. They seem unattainable … but for them to be around the way and for kids to just see that.”
Should be interesting! Jay-Z’s new album, The Blueprint 3 is in stores now (peep our album review here).
Alicia Keys was spotted leaving lunch at at Phillipe Chow after meeting with Oprah Winfrey and her best friend, Gayle King (pictured below) on the Upper East Side in New York City.
In related news, Oprah and Gayle revealed on their show that Jay-Z will not be on The Oprah Winfrey Show, he will be featured in O magazine. Peep the audio from their XM radio show here.
