WHITE HOUSE: PRESIDENT OBAMA & MICHELLE OBAMA HONOR ARMED FORCES + VIDEO FROM THE EVENT

President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama look amazing as they walk through the Cross Hall to the East Room of the White House on Wednesday (February 29) in Washington D.C. The presidential duo hosted a dinner to honor the Armed Forces who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn, along with their families.

During his speech at the dinner (VIDEO IS BELOW), the President said:

WHITE HOUSE: THE PRESIDENT & FIRST LADY SCREEN ‘RED TAILS’ w/ TUSKEGEE AIRMEN & MOVIE CAST

President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama greet the Tuskegee Airmen prior to a movie screening of “Red Tails” in the Family Theater of the White House, on Friday (Jan. 13, 2012).

Some of the cast was also at the screening including pictured below: (L-R) Ne-Yo, Tristan Wilds, Nate Parker, Cuba Gooding Jr, David Oyelowo, and Director Anthony Hemingway. The movie will be released on January 20 in theaters, but an exclusive seven minute clip of the movie was released earlier this week. Continue

WHITE HOUSE: THE OBAMAS TAPE ‘CHRISTMAS IN WASHINGTON’ SPECIAL (AIRS FRIDAY, THE 16TH)

President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama and their daughters, Sasha and Malia, await children dressed as elves prior to the taping of ‘Christmas in Washington,’ at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC, on Sunday (December 11).

The show, hosted by Conan O’Brien, features performances and appearances by Justin Bieber, Cee Lo Green, Jennifer Hudson, Victoria Justice and The Band Perry and airs on TNT on December 16 (more info here).

NEWS/VIDEO: PRESIDENT OBAMA ANNOUNCES ALL TROOPS WILL LEAVE IRAQ BY END OF YEAR

President Obama pictured speaking at the beginning of the daily White House press briefing Friday (October 21) in Washington, DC. Obama announced that all U.S. Troops will be out of Iraq by the end of the year. View full video below.

“After nearly nine years, America’s war in Iraq will be over,” Obama said. “The coming months will be a season of homecomings. Our troops in Iraq will definitely be home for the holidays.”

Since its start in 2003, the Iraqi War has reportedly killed 4,469 troops and injured over 32 thousand. It has also reportedly cost the United States 800 billion to fund. Almost all U.S. troops will be home by the end of December, according to Obama.
