‘ROUND THE WAY: LAURYN HILL ADDRESSES RUMORS via TWITTER + EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS OF HER NEW SON

Following the birth of her son this past weekend, singer/actress Lauryn Hill took to her Twitter page to thank her fans for the well wishes. In her issued statement, she addressed the rumors of Rohan Marley leaving her for a Brazilian model as well as the rumor of another man fathering her child:

Mr. Marley and I have a long and complex history about which MANY inaccuracies have been reported since the beginning. To speculate without the facts can only cause people to form WRONG conclusions. We both value privacy and for that reason defend and preserve our right to it. Contrary to the numerous reports, Mr. Marley did not abandon me while pregnant with his child. We have had long periods of separation over the years but our 5 children together remain a joy to both of us. Thank you for your concern and I appreciate all of the well wishes regarding the birth of my new son.

‘RTW LINKS: LAURYN HILL WELCOMES 6TH CHILD / L.A. REID DON’T LIKE UGLY? / TAMI SUED + MORE!

On Saturday, July 23rd, singer Lauryn Hill gave birth to her 6th child with her longtime boyfriend, Rohan Marley:

“Mother and baby are fine,” says the source, who adds that Hill and family “had a little scare because the baby came out the womb with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck. All is well now and everyone is happy.” [Source]

The child’s name has not yet been publicly announced.

In the meantime, rumors are circulating that Rohan Marley has dumped Lauryn for a Brazilian model by the name of Isabeli Fontana. Ironically, just last month, it was also rumored that Marley denied being the father of Hill’s 6th child (LINK).

Marley has since then retracted his statement, saying, “Ms. Hill is the mother of my children, whom I have a tremendous amount of love and respect for. I would never do that.”

    ‘ROUND THE WAY LINKS: ROHAN MARLEY DENIES FATHERING LAURYN’S UNBORN CHILD / GABRIELLE UNION DEFENDS RIRI’S VIDEO + MORE!

    After much speculation, former Fugees member Lauryn Hill is now pregnant with her sixth child. The mother of 5 is clearly happy about the forthcoming addition and recently issued a letter to her fans, addressing her tardiness to performances and excitement for her unborn child. Unfortunately, her long-time partner Rohan Marley is claiming that the child is not his and even clears up the fact that he and Lauryn were never married:

    The pair started a family while Rohan was still married and it was assumed he was the father of the former Fugees singer’s sixth child. But conversing on Twitter with a reporter from the The Houston Chronicle [Marley said,]: ’2 things… I’m not married and I don’t have anyone expecting anything.’
    The journalist then responded, asking: ‘So we are clear. 1.) You’re not married to your ex-wife or Lauryn, and 2.) She isn’t preggo w/your child, but someone else’s?’
    Marley retorted: ‘That is correct until I say out of my mouth to the contrary.’ [Source]
