TV BIT: NENE LEAKES TELLS IT LIKE IT IS ABOUT STAR JONES ON ELLEN / MELYSSA FORD EXPLAINS HOW SHE LEARNED TO SAY NO ON VIDEO SETS

Celebrity Apprentice’s NeNe Leakes stopped by The Ellen Degeneres Show early Wednesday afternoon. The former Real Housewives of Atlanta personality kept it real when asked her thoughts about her castmate, Star Jones. Leakes was pretty candid and funny in her responses:

“Well I just think that Star is manipulative. I mean she is bossy, she’s manipulative…conniving. And I’m not even being funny. I think that is real. I honestly think that is who she is. She is controlling. Do I think that she knows that? Yeah. When she looks in the mirror, she better know. She is that way. She’s not the easiest person to get to know. She is…a disaster. That’s all.”

Word on the street is that NeNe is seeing Star Jones’ ex-huband Al Reynolds (insert side eye here). Nonetheless, you can watch the drama escalade between NeNe Leakes and Star Jones in the next episode of Celebrity Apprentice on Sunday nights at 9|8pm CST on NBC.

‘ROUND THE WAY: NENE LEAKES CALLS STAR JONES ‘UPPITY & PHONY’? – WHEN ARE STANDARDS TOO HIGH?

As usual, NeNe Leakes is giving it to us straight with no chaser. In a recent interview with Zap2it.com, The ‘Realhousewives of Atlanta’ personality shared her real thoughts about Star Jones’ Twitter response to Nene’s recent comments on The Wendy Williams Show:

On why she thinks Star is uppity:
“She talks a lot about how she went to Harvard, how she went here and there, she has all these degrees, her mentors are Barbara Walters and Johnnie Cochran, she lives on the Upper East side of New York City, her friends are nothing but A-List stars, doctors and lawyers…What does that have to do with anything? You can’t be friends with the lady up the street? The little maid? Everybody’s got to be an A-List star or doctor or lawyer? Look. Star has degrees. I’m not trying to discredit that, but her accomplishments are her accomplishments. I don’t have to bow down to her. She may have gone to Harvard. She may have 10 degrees, but it’s funny. She’s is in the same place I’m in, and that is what bothers Star. That she went to school for 8 or 10 years and she has to stand beside me and I went to school for 2 years.”

On Star being phony:
“Look, I’m like this. If you are a bitch, own it. Be a bitch. 24 hours. Own that. Be that. If you’re ghetto, be ghetto. It’s the fake, phoniness BS that really makes me sick. I don’t care what you are, just be it. Star to me is phony.”
