With the premiere of their first episode just around the corner, BET and the cast of it’s newest television seriesReed Between the Lines held a private pre-screening of the show’s premiere episode. Malcolm Jamal-Warner, Tracee Ellis Ross, BET’s Debra Lee & Stephen Hill as well as the entire crew invited the media and select outlets to the Bar Basque in New York City for a private VIP screening.
Kanye West made a random guest appearance and came to support the network’s show and actors.
In a recent interview, Tracee Ellis Ross admitted when she knew that her cast mate, Malcolm Jamal-Warner was a great choice:
It was sort of that magical piece of the puzzle that you could not pay for. We do have great chemistry and it was organic and authentic. From the first moment when I was in that screen test with Malcolm I could already feel the potential of what the show could be. For the first time I got a taste of who Carla was and so it’s been a good choice. [Source]
