It’s been a long time coming for Teyana Taylor, but she finally releases her first full project, The Misunderstanding of Teyana Taylor. An obvious inspiration from Lauryn’s Hill one and only classic album, The Miseduction…, Teyana’s EP features new and old material from a range of solid producers.
The project contains appearances from Hit-Boy, Jukebox, Charlie Bereal and Tone P, as well as cameo appearances from Wale, on the lead single, “Make Your Move,” Fabolous, Jadakiss and Honey Cocaine. Although Teyana isn’t situated on a major label anymore, she is already gearing up to work on her debut album.
Teyana Taylor is really buckling down and getting this music together. Check out the brand new single, “D.U.I.,” (produced by Hit-Boy) featuring Fabolous and Jadakiss. The track is lifted from her upcoming EP release, The Misunderstanding of Teyana Taylor. Since becoming a free agent, Teyana has been going harder in the paint for her music than we can ever remember.
The EP, The Misunderstanding of Teyana Taylor, led by the single, “Make Your Move,” featuring Wale (which she recently shot a video for), is due out March 12nd. Check out the first episode of her new webshow of the same title below.
It’s the top of a brand new year and Teyana Taylor is beginning to make her move back into the music scene. Her new track, “Make Your Move” featuring rapper Wale, showcases the “Google Me” singer’s matured vocal skills over an uptempo, body-movin’ beat.
