TONI BRAXTON LANDS REALITY TV SERIES
It looks like the Braxtons, Toni Braxton and her family that is, are moving on up! The R&B singer recently signed a deal for her very own reality television series on the WE (Women’s Entertainment) network. The show will be called Braxton Family Values and will feature Toni’s sisters, singers Traci, Towanda, Trina and Tamar.
The 43 year-old mother and Grammy-winning artist filed for bankruptcy back last year after racking up an estimated $50 million in debt. Hopefully this turns into a good financial move and she can get back on her feet.
Braxton Family Values is scheduled to premiere in April.
After being diagnosed in ’08 with microvascular angina, a heart-related illness, Toni Braxton says she “didn’t think I’d ever be able to do music again.” Fortunately, while undergoing cardiac rehabilitation, a conversation with an elderly patient who had survived four heart attacks motivated the six-time Grammy-winning R&B singer/songwriter to continue making music: “That’s when I found my pulse again,” she says. And today, she’s releasing her sixth album, aptly titled Pulse.
It’s been a long road since 2005′s Libra, filled with personal and professional roadblocks for Toni, but through it all she’s managed to endure. After she signed with Atlantic Records in 2008, Pulse was initially planned for release the following year, but the album found its way online and Toni returned to the studio to replace a few of the leaked tracks, including “I Hate Love”, “Clockwork”, “Melt” as well as a duet with Robin Thicke entitled “Don’t Leave”, and rework some of the others.

Check out Toni Braxton’s new video for the song “Yesterday” from her upcoming album, “Pulse” (which will be in stores in February 2010).
The video was filmed on October 8 in Los Angeles and is directed by Billie Woodruff, witnessing Toni sharing steamy scenes with Trey Songz. Other cameos include L.A. Lakers Ron Artest and Shannon Brown as well as fellow singer Brooke Hogan.
Check out the exclusive stills that Toni Braxton posted on her official site on Wednesday. The stills of from her latest single, ‘Yesterday’ and the video is expected to be released in November. Her new album “Pulse” is expected to hit stores sometime in 2010.
