Rapper Juaquin “Waka Flocka Flame” Malphurs turned himself over to authorities on Monday afternoon (Jan. 3) after police raided his home back in December and issued a warrant for his arrest for illegal possession of drugs and weapons as well as other gang-related charges:
The Henry County Sheriff’s Department tells TMZ … Waka was booked for multiple charges including:
– Possession of marijuana less than 1 ounce
– Possession of firearm by convicted felon
– Possession of hydrocodone
– Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony
– Violation of probation for driving on a suspended license
– Violating Georgia’s “Criminal Street Gang and Terror Prevention Act” [ SOURCE ]
Apparently Waka was not home when authorities hit this home. His mother and manager, Debra Antney, made sure to clear the air about her son with sources that Waka surrendered at his own will and did not do anything wrong:
“It had nothing to do with prostitution,” Antney told MTV News. “The weapons they found were licensed weapons. There was under an ounce of marijuana, but it was nothing but a blunt. The other drugs were medication that was in Waka’s room from when he got hurt,” Antney said, referring to Waka Flocka Flame’s shooting last year. [ SOURCE ]
Mr. Malphurs is currently being held on $31,950 bond with a hearing date set for some time Tuesday.
