Yes, there was a baby tossed in a washing machine. Late last week, a clip starting floating around which featured a man putting a toddler into a front-load washing machine at a laundromat in Camden, New Jersey. In a poor attempt to play with the child, the unidentified male shut the door, not realizing that the machine would automatically start (VIEW VIDEO).. The baby tumbled in the machine for about five minutes and was luckily rescued by a laundromat employee who successfully turned off the machine.
Sakia David, the mother of the 1-year-old toddler, Saimeir Bush spoke out about the situation on MSNBC’s Today show explaining that she wasn’t aware of the event happening, how she didn’t know the man in the clip and had in fact left her son to be babysat by her female friend, Sandra who was also in the clip. The 24-year-old single mother made it clear that she will be pressing charges against her friend:
I just want to tell Sandra, ‘This is not over because everybody said on the news that I wasn’t pressing charges and I am.’ [...] I left my child in her custody. She sat there and watched him put my baby in a washer. So it was both of their fault. I don’t care how much they say it’s not her fault. That’s her fault, too.
